What PetEats Does

PetEats helps users scan pet food labels and barcodes to receive an informational ingredient safety screening for dogs and cats. PetEats is not veterinary advice.

Information We Collect

PetEats may collect an anonymous device identifier, optional Apple Sign In identifier, subscription state when enabled, pet profile details entered by the user, barcode or UPC/EAN codes, ingredient label photos, extracted ingredient text, scan results, product metadata, app events, diagnostics, and network metadata needed to operate and secure the service.

How We Use Information

We use information to provide scan results, save scan history, sync data when Apple Sign In is linked, enforce limits, improve barcode coverage and ingredient matching, detect abuse, debug reliability issues, and respond to support requests.

Third-Party Services

PetEats may use Supabase, Cloudflare Workers, Anthropic, RevenueCat, Google AdMob, PostHog, Apple, and related infrastructure providers depending on enabled features.

Photos and Label Images

Ingredient label photos are processed to generate scan results. The launch target is to delete stored scan images older than 30 days, subject to operational, security, and legal needs.

Data Retention

We retain data while needed to provide PetEats, maintain scan history, operate subscriptions, comply with legal obligations, and prevent abuse.

Account Deletion

Users can delete their PetEats device account in app Settings. Deletion removes associated device account data, pet profiles, and scan history, subject to backups, security logs, and legal retention obligations.

Children

PetEats is not intended for children under 13.
